THE DECOLONIZING PRACTICE PROJECT

Helping helpers move beyond good intentions

Welcome! I'm so glad you're here.

The Decolonizing Practice Project is a collaborative bundle of free resources launching November 23, 2026. Below, you'll find everything you need to know about the project and what being a contributor involves.

Please take a look and confirm your interest if the project feels aligned with your work.

WHAT IS THE DECOLONIZING PRACTICE PROJECT, EXACTLY?

The Decolonizing Practice Project is a free resource bundle bringing together practitioners, educators, coaches, and other helpers who are exploring what it means to bring decolonizing, anti-oppressive, and justice-oriented practices into their work.

We'll feature a collection of practical resources from contributors who are committed to learning, unlearning, and changing how we show up in relationship with the people and communities we serve.

The bundle will give subscribers access to practical resources that support reflection, learning, and meaningful shifts in practice. Our goal is to move beyond good intentions and toward ways of working that are more relational, accountable, and responsive to the people and communities we support.

If you'd like to join us, please take less than a minute to complete the simple “I'm interested” form below. You won't need to submit your resource or any materials at this stage.

WHO IS THE TARGET AUDIENCE THIS COLLAB WILL REACH?

This project is for helpers who want to deepen their understanding of decolonizing and anti-oppressive practice and bring that learning into their work.

Our audience may include therapists, social workers, coaches, educators, bodyworkers, healthcare providers, community workers, and others whose work involves supporting people and communities.

We're interested in resources that go beyond theory or surface-level awareness. We want to offer practical tools, thoughtful perspectives, and opportunities to reflect on how our values show up in the ways we work and relate to others.

IS IT FREE?

Yes! There is no fee to contribute, and the bundle will be free for people who register.

The project is also an opportunity to share your work with a wider audience, connect with other practitioners and helpers, and invite people who resonate with your approach to learn more about what you offer.

WHAT'S THE PROMO COMMITMENT?

The promotional period will run from November 23–December 20, 2026.

Each confirmed contributor agrees to send at least one email to their full email list during the promotional period to share The Decolonizing Practice Project.

We'll provide promotional copy and details to make sharing the bundle as straightforward as possible.

There are no minimum email list size requirements. We're interested in the fit and value of your contribution, not just the size of your audience.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

We'll create a landing page where people can register for the bundle using their name and email address.

After registering, they'll access a page featuring the contributors' free resources, each with an image, a short description, and a link to access the resource.

When someone chooses your resource, they'll follow your opt-in link and provide their information to access your freebie. This gives you the opportunity to welcome new subscribers to your own email list.

You won't receive the full list of people who register for the bundle. You'll only receive contact information from people who choose to opt in through your own resource link.

COMPLETE THE QUICK “I'M INTERESTED” FORM

This first form is simply to help us confirm contributors. It won't ask you to upload your resource or prepare any materials.

If your contribution is a good fit, you'll receive a follow-up form with instructions for submitting your resource, opt-in link, description, and image. Contributor materials will be due November 15, 2026.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR CONTRIBUTORS?

List growth: Give people who are interested in your work an opportunity to discover you and join your email list through your resource.

Shared visibility: Be featured alongside other practitioners and helpers who are thinking critically about decolonizing and anti-oppressive practice.

Collective learning: Contribute to a collection of resources that helps people move beyond good intentions and consider how meaningful change can take shape in their work.

A chance to share something useful: Put a resource you've created—or one you already have—into the hands of people who may genuinely benefit from it.

A NOTE FROM THE PROJECT ORGANIZER

I'm bringing this project together because I want to create more opportunities for helpers to move beyond good intentions and engage with the ongoing work of decolonizing their practices. I'm interested in bringing together people with different perspectives, experiences, and areas of expertise to share resources that support meaningful learning and change.

I'm glad you're considering being part of it.
